I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
